A 67-year-old man with a history of diabetes mellitus type 2 presents to your office with a 1.5 cm ulcerated lesion on the glans of his penis. It has raised edges with a red base and is painful. It has been present for 6 months. Excisional biopsy revealed high-grade squamous cell carcinoma. He subsequently undergoes partial penectomy. Final pathology revealed high-grade squamous cell carcinoma, with negative margins with invasion of the corpus spongiosum. A CT scan of the pelvis is negative for any enlarged nodes.
