Hypertension may be associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer (PCa), a recent meta-analysis suggests.
The meta-analysis, by Zhen Liang, MD, of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, and colleagues, included data from 21 observational studies, including 17 cohort/nested case-control studies and 4 case-control studies. Results showed that individuals with hypertension had a significant 8% increased risk of PCa, according to a paper published in Scientific Reports.
