Azoospermic men may be nearly three times as likely to receive a diagnosis of cancer as men in the overall population, according to researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine.
The researchers conducted a study with 2,238 infertile men. The vast majority suffered from non-obstructive azoospermia. An azoospermic man’s risk for developing cancer was similar to that for a typical man 10 years older.
