Long-term outcomes of the tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) procedure for treating female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) support the use of the procedure, according to researchers in the Republic of Korea.
In a group of 306 women who underwent the procedure for SUI, the overall seven-year cure rate was 84.6%, with a satisfaction rate of 69.3%, investigators reported in BJU International (2009;104:1113-1117).
Only eight patients (2.6%) had complications at seven years.
