The prevalence of CKD among adults in Beijing, China is 13%, according to a recent study published in the American Journal of Kidney Diseases (2008;51:373-384).
An estimated 1.43 million adults in China’s capital have CKD, researchers reported.
The prevalence rose with age; it was 10% among those aged 18-39 years and 30.5% among individuals aged 70 years and older.
