Abstract: Hypertension is present in almost 80% of people over age 70. In most of these patients, the condition is isolated systolic hypertension. Such patients often present with one or more coexisting problems that can interfere with the treatment of their hypertension. This case examines many of the issues that are frequently encountered in clinical practice.
