Uroplasty, Inc., a medical device company with headquarters in Minnetonka, Minn., has received a patent for its Urgent PC Neuromodulation System and stimulation methods for treating overactive bladder (OAB).

The system is a minimally invasive, nerve-stimulation device for the office-based treatment of urge incontinence, urinary urgency, and urinary frequency, symptoms often associated with OAB. The device is designed to deliver retrograde access to the sacral plexus through percutaneous electrical stimulation of the posterior tibial nerve.
