They compared 12 patients who experienced hypotension during hemodialysis with 12 age-matched hemodialysis patients who served as controls. Serum albumin in the hypotension group was significantly lower compared with controls (3.2 vs. 3.5 g/dL). The hypotension group also had a significant negative correlation between changes in systolic BP during dialysis and serum albumin.
