A year and a half ago, Cleveland Clinic’s Glickman Urological Institute and Nephrology Department joined to form the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute.
Merging urologists, nephrologists, kidney and pancreas transplant surgeons, hypertension specialists, dialysis physicians, and scientists into one group was part of an institution-wide movement at Cleveland Clinic that organized clinical areas around organ and disease systems rather than individual specialties.
This unique health-care model consolidates disciplines and encourages academic collaboration, which allows us to better serve patients in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney disease while continuing to provide high-quality care and develop innovative approaches in all aspects of urology.

It is in this same spirit of collaboration between urologists and nephrologists that we have chosen to partner with Renal & Urology News, a publication that draws interest and readership from both disciplines.
