Cleveland Clinic’s nephrology and urology programs, which are housed at the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute, are each ranked no. 1 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report‘s “Best Hospitals 2013. The clinic also ranked no. 1 in cardiology/heart surgery.
“We are delighted and humbled by this recognition, which acknowledges the talent and dedication of the entire institute team at all levels in both urology and nephrology,” said Glickman Institute Chairman Eric A. Klein, MD. “It a reflection of our dedicated teamwork focusing on excellence in patient care, as well as our commitment to expanding diagnostic and treatment options for our patients through innovation and research.”
U.S. News & World Reports evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals, with fewer than 150 scoring high enough to be ranked in even one category.
