Black men and Asian men are less likely to have severe erectile dysfunction (ED) than white men, according to a study of 78,445 men aged 45 to 69 years who were not diagnosed with prostate cancer.

After adjusting for age, socioeconomic status, comorbidities, and lifestyle characteristics, black men and Asian men, respectively, had a 46% and 9% decreased risk of severe ED compared with white men, researchers reported in The Journal of Sexual Medicine (2009;6:3433-3439).
