Statement of Need: Urologists who care for patients with NMIBC must incorporate established clinical practice guidelines for treatment, and, in doing so, reduce the current substantive and inappropriate variation in practice patterns surrounding NMIBC. Improving guideline adherence will close the gap on inappropriate care delivery.

Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of urologists and allied healthcare professionals who treat patients with bladder cancer.

Educational Objectives: After completing the activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Review the content and development process of clinical practice guidelines for NMIBC.
  • Review data surrounding poor adherence to guidelines, which will serve as a cue to action for urologists to improve guideline adherence.

Accreditation Statement:This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Resources (MER) and Haymarket Medical Education.
