Fresenius Names New Chief Medical Information Officer
Fresenius Medical Care North America has promoted Ahmad Sharif, MD, MPH, to Chief Medical Information Officer for North America.
Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA) has announced the promotion of Ahmad Sharif, MD, MPH, to its Chief Medical Information Officer for North America.
Dr Sharif, who has more than a decade of experience transforming clinical technology systems to help health care providers adapt to the digital age, will serve as a bridge between the clinical and informational technology worlds, according to a Fresenius press release.
Prior to his new position, he was Vice President of Clinical Health Information Technology at Fresenius Kidney Care, where he was responsible for overseeing the clinical health IT strategy, physician technologies, IT governance structure, and change control management.
Dr Sharif is a strong advocate for using technology and analytics to improve health outcomes.
