Imaging agents:

Indications for: XENOVIEW

For use with MRI for evaluation of lung ventilation in adults and pediatric patients.

Limitations of Use:

Not for use with lung perfusion imaging.

Adult Dosage:

See full labeling. Measure volume and Dose Equivalent (DE) in the dose delivery bag using the HPX Polarization Measurement Station no more than 5mins prior to administration. Inhale the full dose and hold for up to 15secs during MR image acquisition; may repeat with a new dose if image quality is insufficient. ≥12yrs: 75–100mL DE of the entire contents of 1 dose delivery bag; DE of >100mL is acceptable. DE = (total volume xenon gas [250–750mL]) x (fraction of xenon Xe 129 isotopic enrichment in the xenon gas [>80%]) x (fraction of hyperpolarization [mean fraction 38–54% at the completion of polarization of 250mL of xenon gas]).

Children Dosage:

<12yrs: not indicated.

XENOVIEW Warnings/Precautions:

Risk of decreased image quality from supplemental oxygen. Transient hypoxia. Monitor all patients for oxygen desaturation and symptoms of hypoxemia; treat as clinically indicated. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.
