Miscellaneous urogenital disorders:

Indications for: KORSUVA

Moderate to severe pruritus associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults undergoing hemodialysis (HD).

Limitations of Use:

Not recommended for patients on peritoneal dialysis.

Adult Dosage:

Give 0.5mcg/kg by IV bolus inj into the venous line of dialysis circuit at the end of each HD treatment. Administer within 60mins after completion of the syringe prep.

Children Dosage:

Not established.

KORSUVA Warnings/Precautions:

May impair mental or physical abilities. Increased somnolence in ≥65yrs. Severe hepatic impairment: not recommended. Pregnancy. Nursing.

KORSUVA Classification:

Opioid agonist.

KORSUVA Interactions:

Caution with concomitant centrally-acting depressant drugs, sedating antihistamines, opioid analgesics.

Adverse Reactions:

Diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, gait disturbances, falls, hyperkalemia, headache, somnolence, mental status change.
