Atopic dermatitis:

Indications for: EUCRISA

Mild to moderate atopic dermatitis.

Adults and Children:

<3mos: not established. ≥3mos: apply a thin layer twice daily to affected areas; may consider reducing to once daily after clinical effect is achieved.

EUCRISA Warnings/Precautions:

Not for ophthalmic, oral, intravaginal use. Discontinue immediately if hypersensitivity occurs. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.

EUCRISA Classification:

Phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor.

Adverse Reactions:

Application site pain (eg, burning, stinging); hypersensitivity reactions, contact urticaria.


The major metabolite 5-(4-cyanophenoxy)-2-hydroxyl benzylalcohol (metabolite 1), is formed via hydrolysis; this metabolite is further metabolized into downstream metabolites, among which 5-(4-cyanophenoxy)-2-hydroxyl benzoic acid (metabolite 2), formed via oxidation, is also a major metabolite.
