Educating primary care physicians about CKD

At the recent National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meeting in Orlando, Bernard Jaar, MD, FNKF, and Michael Choi, MD, FNKF, hosted a symposium where they discussed the importance of educating primary care physicians on chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its many complications. Topics ranged from identifying CKD in patients to implementing action plans between PCPs and nephrologists.

With the help of the NKF, the Johns Hopkins doctors are hoping to make their educational program a yearly event as the meeting travels from city to city.
