Opioid Abuse After Urologic Surgery

Every day, more than 90 Americans die after overdosing on opioids, whether legal pain relievers or illegal drugs. About 1 in 1111 patients who undergo urologic surgery experience opioid dependence or overdose, according to a Journal of Urology study.
