Online Program Helps Prostate Cancer Patients Decide on Treatment

When the pros and cons of prostate cancer (PCa) treatment are spelled out using an online interactive program, more patients with low-risk PCa choose active surveillance.

John Schieszer reports in today's Medical Minute that the vast majority of men diagnosed with low-risk PCa undergo aggressive treatment rather than active surveillance.  

However, this new online program may help better guide patients to their best treatment option for long-term survival.
