Many Nephrologists Avoid Giving HD Patients Bad News


A new study has found that many nephrologists are reluctant to tell their seriously ill end-stage renal disease patients the true estimates of their one- and five-year survival.

But having a frank conversation with patients may help them better plan the time that have left.
