California researchers report that eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in red meat and getting plenty of physical activity may help prostate cancer (PCa) patients reduce their risk of progressing to highly aggressive disease.

The finding, by investigators at the University of California Los Angeles, is based on a study of 2,212 men aged 40-70 years with newly diagnosed PCa.

John Schieszer has the details in today's Medical Minute.
