Fish Oil May Benefit Hemodialysis Patients with Synthetic Arteriovenous Grafts

Among patients with new synthetic arteriovenous grafts for vascular access for hemodialysis, daily ingestion of fish oil does not appear to decrease the proportion of grafts with loss of patency within 12 months, according to a new Canadian study.  However, fish oil recipients do appear to have a longer time without thrombosis.
