ADT and Radiation Improve Survival Chances

Prostate cancer patients who are treated with a combination of ADT (androgen deprivation therapy) and radiation may have a substantially improved chance of survival compared to patients who do not receive radiation, according to British researchers. They reported at the 52nd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) that combination therapy resulted in substantial benefits in overall survival and disease specific survival in men with locally advanced prostate cancer.
