What proportion of your patients with localized PCa opts for EBRT?
Numerous non-randomized studies have compared the outcomes of radiotherapy and surgery for clinically localized prostate cancer.
These outcomes include the risk of biochemical recurrence and cancer-specific survival. Some studies have found no significant difference in oncologic outcomes, whereas others give the edge to one or other. But factors other than oncologic outcomes influence the treatment decision, such as whether a patient is a good surgical candidate and patients' personal preference (such as an aversion to surgery).
