What proportion of the HD patients under your care do you think would be good candidates for daily home HD?

Recent study data point to some potential advantages of daily home hemodialysis (HD), including greater patient convenience (including not having to and from dialysis centers) and improved blood pressure and phosphate control compared with standard three-times-a-week HD, and reversal of some heart damage caused by high blood pressure.

However, only a tiny percentage of HD patients perform daily home HD, perhaps owing, in part, to the fact that Medicare pays based on the standard schedule of treatment three times a week.

In addition, only certain HD patients are good candidates for home HD, and  Renal & Urology News would like to get an idea of the possible size of the home HD candidate pool, so please answer the following poll question.
