How satisfied are you with your work-life balance?
Researchers found that 1/3 of oncologists reported being satisfied with their work-life balance.
In a recent study published online ahead of print in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, researchers found that one third of oncologists in the U.S. reported being satisfied with their work-life balance (WLB), which is a lower proportion than for other specialties.
Female oncologists had lower satisfaction with WLB than their male counterparts. In addition, 26.5%, 34.3%, 28.9% of oncologists, respectively, reported a moderate or higher likelihood of decreasing their clinical work hours in the next year, leaving their current position within two years, and planning to retire before age 65.
