More and more inpatient care is being provided by hospitalists. Hospitalists make it possible for community-based doctors to cut down on the number hospital visits they make, allowing them to spend more time caring for patients in the office.
Hospitalists can improve inpatient care by coordinating the services of various doctors and other healthcare personnel.
