Do you ever reserve free drug samples for uninsured or low income patients?
The cost of prescription drugs is a big part of U.S. healthcare expenditures and a major contributor to rising healthcare premiums, with patients faced with increasing out-of-pocket costs (such as co-pays) to obtain the medicines their doctors prescribed.
Some uninsured or low-income patients have been known to go without filling prescriptions because they cannot afford them. In such cases, physicians may be unable to optimally manage patients' conditions or diseases.
