According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than one-third of U.S. adults are obese, defined as having a body mass index of 30 kg/m² or higher.

The American Medical Association has adopted a policy that recognizes obesity as a disease in the hopes of focusing more attention on treatment and prevention efforts.

“Recognizing obesity as a disease will help change the way the medical community tackles this complex issue that affects approximately one in three Americans,” said AMA board member Patrice Harris, MD. Renal & Urology News would like to ask nephrologists and urologists the following poll questions.
